Fattoria Paradiso, already Castello Ugarte Lovatelli, stands on a hill alongside the medieval solar Bertinoro.
Ancient documents suggest it originated in the XV century, but can not exclude the Roman era. The location of the hill overlooking the Via Emilia, in fact, along with vestiges of the time returned from the land which now houses the Vine Mill, suggests a strategic vantage point of baggage in transit to the console and seat of country villas of the time ,
Villa and adjoining land, owned by the Countess Gabriella Ugarte Lovatelli, last heir of the family patrician family pieces were bought by the end of XIX century.
The old mansion is linked to the birth of Marco Palmezzano, a disciple of Melozzo da Forli. This is confirmed by the initials of the teacher "MP" (significant and surprising coincidence with those of Mario Pezzi) carved on the pediment of the monumental stone fireplace in the apartment that the Fattoria Paradiso reserves for its illustrious guests.
