Organic self made fertilizers

If you wanted to have a beautiful garden, it is important to note that you need to shell out huge amounts of time and energy to grow and keep them well maintained all the time.

If you don’t want to buy commercially prepared fertilizers and you wanted to save some money on your pocket, why not try these naturally made organic fertilizers that can be used to make your plants healthy and well maintained all the time. Take a look at these organic and naturally made fertilizers below.

1. Cotton meal – if you have acid loving plants and you don’t know what kind of natural fertilizer you will be giving of with them, try cotton meal as they can give you vibrant flowers and strong healthy green leaves. Cotton meal is a byproduct material being produced by most cotton manufacturing companies so you can get them free or at a very minimal charge.
2. Fish emulsion – this organic fertilizer is actually being produced by decomposing dead or left over fish or fish products. It has high amounts of nitrogen perfect for big trees and tall grasses. It also contain vast amount of trace minerals that can make your plants green and glowing.
3. Blood meal – this type of organic fertilizer is being produced by drying and powdering blood of cattle. You can get blood of cattle on most slaughterhouses at a very minimal cost. However, you must bear in mind that blood meal contains too high amounts of nitrogen that they might burn or dry out plants quickly.
4. Seaweed fertilizer – this fertilizer is being used by most gardeners due to their high mineral content. What they do is that they take unroasted or unseasoned seaweeds and into a bowl with water, they steep it like a tea. Seaweed fertilizer does not burn nor dry out plants immediately like blood meal.
5. Manure – one of the most common organic fertilizers that many people use is the manure. Thou they are easy to obtained and cheaply priced, they have low amount of nutrients and minerals needed to make plants healthy and beautiful but they can be used in conjunction with other organic products.
