Skipping the lunch is bad for sex

According to the experts, the diet and the sexual life are closely connected. Skipping the lunch and starving can lead to some problems with the partner

If you ask to nutritionists and sexologists about the relationship between Eros and food you will probably obtain an unanimous response. According to the 65% of experts, in fact, food and sexual life are tightly connected.

People that follow a correct and regular diet have a better sexual life and, according to the 38% of the physicians, the intensity and the frequency of intercourses can even double. These considerations hold both for women and men.

This is the result of a study carried out by the Italian journal “Via del gusto”, lead by Domenico Marasco.
According to this study, an unbalanced diet can produce caloric excesses in some stages of the day that do not require it and some lacks in others. E.g., eating too much food at dinner because of we skipped the lunch could have very bad effects with our partner because of a heaviness or sleepiness sensation.

Besides the quantity, it is also very important the quality of the food. As a matter of fact, according to the 27% of the experts, following a Mediterranean diet could help to be perfect lovers.

Moreover, it should be considered that, besides the nutritional considerations, some characteristics of the food, such as aroma, colors, texture and flavor combinations, can have aphrodisiac effects. According to the 59% of the experts, spicy and flavored foods, by stimulating the olfactory system, are the most effective in this sense, indeed.

The colors of the foods can influence the will of coziness with the partner and foods that require the hands to be eaten stimulate the physical contact. Finally, the coupling of different flavors during the meal stimulates the taste, increasing in this way the sexual desire.
