Anabolic steroids affect a woman behaviorally. The woman can become very irritable, show signs of high aggression, which can lead to violent outbursts. These are side effects of steroids. Some doctors and users of steroids call these outbreaks “roid rage”. Most often the woman suffers from mood swings. She begins to understand people around her very well. This heightened awareness can sometimes lead to schizophrenic and / or psychotic episodes and hypomania (manic-depressive cycle). Though there are just a few researches where correlation of androgens and aggression or aggressive behavior was assessed, nevertheless the connection between testosterone level and aggression exists. The researchers faced the problem while determining whether outbreaks of violence and psychological changes are the result of steroids usage or some psychological problem just surfaced with their help. This uncertainty may distort the results of any research, but can not deny the fact that steroids usage and increased aggression are related. Sid effects of steroids can be very difficult.
