Russian water sector has enormous opportunities for foreign companies

Russian water sector has for long been in a bad shape. Water supply and waste water treatment systems are in most cases outdated and would need immediate renovation or replacement.
Due to the bad situation in the sector, it is obvious that the demand for water treatment solutions and equipment is large in the country. The major factors affecting the boosting demand are e.g. decentralization and privatization of water facilities, developing legislation and improving implementation of it, bad state of the water infrastructure, financing programs as well as growing awareness of environmental issues. These factors are making the situation very attractive for foreign companies and there are enormous opportunities for them in the Russian water sector.
