The chair of the Turkish organization “World council for the Saint Nicolas found”, Muhammar Karabulut, in September 2008 took legal action against the Coca Cola® Company asking for the disclosure of the receipt used for the production of the famous drink.
“We discovered the Coca Cola receipt by analyzing the materials exposed by the Company legal during the trial for customers’ right held in Antalya”, Karabulut says. According to this material, the world most secret receipt is composed by: sugar (10.58%), phosphoric acid (0.544 g), caffeine (150 mg), caramel (0.11%), carbon dioxide (7.5 g) and Coca Cola extract (0.015).
Moreover, Karabulut confirmed that in the past some information appeared on newspapers, but giving less-detailed receipts. As a matter of fact, at that time it was said that Coca Cola contains extracts from different leafs, mimosa roots and aromatic compounds.
