China agricultural machinery industry report

In the first half of 2008, China’s export & import value of agricultural machinery was totaled at US $ 13.54 billion

Along with the constant release of favorite agricultural policies, agriculture mechanization level in China was greatly improved; the production and sales of agricultural machinery were both increased. The technology of major kind machineries such as rice machinery and maize machinery were well developed, R & D of cole, pasture, and sugar cane machinery technology were also achieved considerable progress. Meanwhile, energy-saving and environment-friendly agricultural machineries are getting more widely used.

In the first half of 2008, China’s export & import value of agricultural machinery was totaled at US $13.54 billion, up by 44.68% compared to the first half of 2007.

In the first half of 2008, china’s agriculture machinery import maintained a growth, up by 30% compared to the first half of 2007, moreover, Japan, Germany and USA were the top 3 countries according to the import value, were US $1.51billion, US $1.01billion and US $0.82 billion respectively, up by 32.5%, 24.4% and 29.9% respectively.
