Potosi Fuenroble, best quality award for people and chef

From the Spanish region Sierra de Segura, inside a natural park, an extra virgin olive oil by Picual cultivar

POTOSÍ 10, S.A. is an olive-oil mill located in Orcera (Jaén), Spain, in the “Sierra de Segura” region, inside the “Sierra de Segura, Cazorla y Las Villas” Natural Park.
Here the olive groves are mixed with the pines, with an unequal orography and a temperature from +40º to -10º. All this confers to the extra virgin olive oil some special caracteristics compared to other oils produced in this region.
The qualities of these oils have permited their distinction by the Regulatory Council of the “Sierra de Segura” Denomination of Origin.

Fuenroble
Extra virgin olive oil that is extracted from the Picual variety of olives grown in the “Sierra de Segura” Natural Park, where olive groves and pines live together in a perfect harmony.
The harvest start at the beginning of November, with the olive colour changes from green to purple, during the optimal degree of ripening (envero), finishing at the middle of December.



Description: Intense green colour, at nose is intense with aroma resembling green fields, artichoke, pot herbs. It's also little pungent, with phenol sensations. At the same in the mouth is very intense, emphasizing sensations of fruity aromatic vegetables and seasoned fields. Middle spicy and bitter.
