Francesca Petrini: the farming is action and innovation

From a farm that boost an innovative olive oil, now sold in pharmacies, a young business woman who hates bureaucrats and the sleepy attitude of agriculture

Francesca Petrini was born in Ancona in 1970.
She took my degree in Economics at the Polytechnic University of the Marches.
She started working at Fattoria Petrini in 1989 and became professional olive oil taster in 1991.
Her family has owned olive groves since the 60’s but they bought the oil mill and the bottling equipment only in 1989..Thanks to an international patent owned by her family, Fattoria Petrini can now boost an innovative olive oil that has been studied for preventing bone diseases, the Petrini Plus® (with vitamins D3,K1 and B6) which is sold in pharmacies.

Why do you decide to make business in farming?
My grandfather and father started the olive oil business in the 60’s and teached me a lot about it.
Then I became olive oil taster in 1991 - after that I felt in love with such important Aliment. Now I cannot make other than producing my olive oil.

Do you feel more a peasant, a farmer or a business woman?
Both farmer and business woman…not only producing but also selling!!
