Feeding a baby is sometimes a very daunting task for mothers. Farmers markets - A trip to the market not only fills the fridge but can be a great outing for the family as well. Markets are also a great place to find bargains and new and exciting ways to eat organically. Have a talk to the local farmers, it’s always interesting to see what they do with their produce and hopefully get some of their homemade baby food recipes.
Supermarket sales - Organic baby food is sometimes marked down at supermarkets. This is a great time to stock up. Just always be wary of the expiration date.
Smart shopping - Comparing prices at the grocery stores and the supermarket is a good way to find the lowest price.
Buying adult organic for a baby is not a bad thing. Many products that are found within the organic section can be eaten by a child. For example; apple sauce, canned vegetables and other products that are already pureed are great for babies. Another great idea is mashing organic potatoes, sweet potatoes, squash and pumpkins.
