PureSense announced today that it will present the research results of a joint field study conducted with the Russell Ranch Sustainable Agriculture Facility at UC Davis at the Russell Ranch Field Day May 28, 2013.
The industry-impacting research results will reveal how growers can implement best practices for their irrigation operation using real-time field monitoring data. The focus of the UC Davis Russell Ranch Field Day is on technology for agriculture today. The PureSense presentation will demonstrate the equipment used in the field and how the data produced can be leveraged to improve irrigation efficiency, enabling growers to produce higher crop yields with lower water and energy use.
“The research partnership between UC Davis Russell Ranch and PureSense has produced both excellent research outcomes regarding the assessment of sustainable farming practices as well as such practical and applied results as creating a best practice guide for growers using technology like ours,” said Michelle Frey, Senior Vice President of Engineering with PureSense. “PureSense is committed to supporting the agricultural community and our customers through such joint research initiatives. Research like this helps us all understand how to help growers become more sustainable in the future.”
