A comprehensive wind map for Malaysia

With immense pleasure, EVI wishes to inform you that we have been appointed by ’Sustainable Energy Development Authority (SEDA)- Malaysia‘ to Develop a Comprehensive Wind Map for Malaysia which can serve as a reference in determining the potential of wind power generation in Malaysia and justify the inclusion of wind energy in the FIT regime in Malaysia.

Duration of this assignment is 18 months wherein, we need to perform the following activities:

· Meso & Micro Scale Study

· Procurement & Installation of Masts at 6 locations within Malaysia

· Data recording, analysis and submission of Wind Mapping Report to SEDA

EVI will partner with University Malaysia Terengganu (UMT) for technical collaboration and sharing of best practices during this assignment.

About SEDA: SEDA is a statutory body formed under the Sustainable Energy Development Authority Act 2011 by Ministry of Energy, Green Technology & Water, Government of Malaysia. The key role of SEDA is to administer and manage the implementation of the feed-in tariff mechanism which is mandated under the Renewable Energy Act 2011.
