Stéphane Baschiera will become the new CEO of Moët & Chandon from March of this year following the move by Jean-Marc Lacave to take up the position of CEO of Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin.
Baschiera joined the wines and spirits Moët Hennessy division of LVMH in 1996 and has since taken on the roles of commercial director of Moët Hennessy Diageo France, director of Moët Hennessy in Italy, and CEO of Maison Ruinart Champagne.
Since 2009, he has held the position of CEO of Maison Veuve Cliquot Ponsardin, and the company said that he has contributed to the excellent performance of the Maison since that time.
Jean-Marc Lacave joined the Watches & Jewellery division of the LVMH Group in the UK in 2001 and has held the title of CEO of the Watches & Jewellery division in Asia since 2007.
