The future of trade comes from the union of producers

We produce good quality, but we suffer a big gap compared to France and Germany, a delay that must absolutely be closed. This declared the Minister for Agricultural Food and Forestry Policies, Giancarlo Galan, the 7 March the Food Market (Maap) of Padua.

"Italy is the fifth country in the world for fruit production and the first in Europe, but it must increase in exports, improve its ability to sell. To achieve the goal it is necessary to activate all the means we have: we must use the production of energy from renewable sources in markets such as done here at the Maap, even more important is to build logistics platforms to facilitate trade development. It is therefore necessary to have bases in the markets, in Russia, for example, where it is necessary to have a basis on the spot, otherwise it becomes very difficult to sell.
I am very proud of the Italian flag that was prepared for me here in Padua, made with fruit and vegetables for the 150th year of the Unification of Italy, the symbol of a sector that should represent a driving force for our economy. It is necessary that all the fruit and vegetable producers work towards a common goal: to grow in Europe. We produce good quality, but we suffer a big gap compared to France and Germany, a delay that must absolutely be closed. This is the reason why I reiterate the urgent need to stop unhealthy port competition in the north: lets create one port that unites Venice, Trieste and Capo d'Istria. This is the only way to take advantage of the so-called green corridor from Alexandria to Venice. " This declared the Minister for Agricultural Food and Forestry Policies, Giancarlo Galan, the 7 March the Food Market (Maap) of Padua.
