Ministry Zaia to speculators: keep your hands off agriculture

The Agricultural G8 that will be held in Cison di Valmarino from the 18 to the 20 April has to face a difficult task. A task that however will be easier thanks to your work. I will carry your document in that meeting and to the Maddalena, declared the Minister of food forest and agricultural policies, taking part at the G8 farmers meeting of the agricultural confederations organised by Coldiretti at Palazzo Rospigliosi.

" We will ask the international community that the commodities and therefore the agricultural products, that is the food, remain outside the speculation of the financial markets. Grain and food commodities cannot be subject to the market speculations." This declared the Minister of food forest and agricultural policies Luca Zaia, taking part at the G8 farmers meeting of the agricultural confederations organised by Coldiretti at Palazzo Rospigliosi.

"Children’s survival, Zaia continued, cannot be subject to market speculations that lack any contact with the real economy. It is not acceptable that someone becomes rich on the world’s hunger ."

“ A new ethics for agriculture is needed if we truly want to feed the world. My position contrary to the Ogm is well-known, in fact I do not believe that they are the solution to the hunger problem. We are with the farmers and always with those who work. "

"The Agricultural G8 that will be held in Cison di Valmarino from the 18 to the 20 April and that will see the participation of the Big eight, of the G5 Countries, Brazil, China, India, Mexico, South Africa, Egypt, the African Union, Australia and Argentina, and the World Bank, Fao, Ifad, Wfp, Ocse and the High Level Task Force of the United Nations for food security, has to face a difficult task. A task that however, the Minister concluded, will be easier thanks to your work. I will carry your document in that meeting and to the Maddalena."
